Super Bowl Predictions

In the 100th regular season of the NFL (National Football League) there were very good teams in every division. There were either clear fan favorites, and there were teams that no one wanted to be a fan of.

Some fan favorite teams that everyone thinks will win the Super Bowl are the beloved Baltimore Ravens with star backfield consisting of quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Mark Ingram for the AFC champions.

“The Ravens are definitely making it to the Super Bowl. They had an outstanding regular season with only two losses under their belt. While winning 14 games with ease is what it looked like, they are going to for sure clinch the AFC spot in the Super Bowl,” freshman Molly Morris said.

Another fan favorite team is in the NFC is the amazing San Francisco 49ers. With quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the trifecta rotation of running backs including Raheem Mosterst, Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida. The 49ers also have one of the better receiving cores in the NFL. With explosive defensive end Nick Bosa, the 49ers are expected by many fans to be the NFC champions.

“The Ravens will be playing the 49ers in the Super Bowl this season. The 49ers also had an outstanding regular season with a 14-2 record which got them the first round bye. The 49ers are easily one of the best teams in the NFL this year. They should overcome the obstacles and become NFC champions.” sophomore Ryan Kreig said.

After years of the NFL being around, the 100th season finally arrived, and yes it came in with style and maybe one of the single greatest seasons ever. There were ups and downs, “oohs” and “ahhs” and history made this year.

“The biggest thing this year is most likely that the Patriots’ dynasty has finally came to an end and have been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs this year, bringing Tom Brady’s long great career to a big deficit.” junior LaNard Bolden said.

The big question is who will win the Super Bowl MVP?

Some more of the obvious candidates we think will win it is quarterback Lamar Jackson or defensive end Nick Bosa, maybe even quarterback Ryan Tannehill or running back Derrick Henry.

“Lamar Jackson is for sure getting Super Bowl MVP because of all the capabilities he has on the field as just a quarterback. He can run, pass, read defenses and still make a split second decision if the game depended on it,” Bolden said.

The Tennessee Titans have also been pulling an upset here recently in the playoffs. The Titans ended the New England Patriots’ 10 year long dynasty in the wildcard round of the playoffs and are going to play the Ravens in the divisional round. Some fans think the Titans are going to pull another upset and send the Ravens flying home in disgrace.

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has been an absolute monster in these past few games also. He has rushed for 200+ yards against the Patriots in the wildcard round to send the patriots home empty-handed. Carrying nothing but a big “L” on their heads as the Patriots lose in the first round of the playoffs.

Are the Ravens ready and able to control Derrick Henry?

“From the way Derrick Henry has been playing lately, he might get the Super Bowl MVP if the Tennessee Titans make it all the way. He is the reason the New England Patriots’ dynasty doesn’t exist anymore. He could be the reason the Tennessee Titans beat the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs.” Krieg said.

It turns out the Ravens were not yet ready to play a high caliber team known as the Titans. The Titans took the early lead in the first half 14-6 with Ryan Tannehill having a passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown. The Ravens only getting two field goals going into the half was a bad spot for the Ravens to be in. Coming out of the half, the Titans were very hot. With scoring two touchdowns in just the third quarter, Ryan Tannehill is going to lead the Titans to winning the third quarter with his second passing touchdown of the game, making the game look over early in the third quarter.

Derrick Henry, on the other hand, picked apart and destroyed the Ravens so called “very good” defense. The Ravens had one of the better defenses this year, but Derrick Henry did not care at all and made it look like he was playing Madden on rookie mode from how good he played. He rushed for 195 yards, averaging 6.5 yards per rush. But unfortunately had zero rushing touchdowns this week. Then, Derrick Henry gets the direct snap in the third quarter and fakes the run and throws it over the top of the offensive line to Corey Davis for the pop pass touchdown.

“With this monster night of upsets, I just have to say Derrick Henry is a very ‘BAD MAN,’ and he is just getting warmed up to. He has now ended the two best teams in the AFC in one year. No other man can do that single handedly besides this ‘BAD MANN.’ He is most likely going to win the Super Bowl MVP with ease,” Morris said

Unfortunately, we will not see the Titans in the Super Bowl. Fans now need to focus on Chiefs vs 49ers game in Super Bowl 54.
