Avengers: Infinity Wars

Avengers: Infinity War is insane.
Everything has been leading up to this movie. The growth of the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be compared to the growth of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I have, in a way, grown up with these characters. I have been there through the fun adventures, the intense battles, and the witty humor. I have seen these characters laugh and cry, rise and fall, and kick the crap out of each other.
As I walked into the theater, it was a bittersweet and nostalgic experience for me. I was prepared for the absolute worst to happen to my favorite characters but hoping for the absolute best. Some of them turned out okay; some of them not so much.
There had been so many rumors about this movie, and I did not know what to believe. I am going to try and keep this as spoiler-free as possible, but everyone should not believe anything they hear. The one rumor I thought would be true was incorrect, and I must say I am grateful.
I was enraptured with the movie from the very first scene. The villain, Thanos, does something terrible within the first few minutes that I definitely was not expecting.
With almost all of the main MCU characters in this movie, I was worried that some characters would only be featured for seconds. However, each character had a moment to shine and then some. Characters who had never met before in previous movies were placed together, and they were super cohesive pairings. I was definitely excited that the characters were not placed with their opposites but their equals. It added more conflict and made the movie more interesting.
The visual aspects of this movie were spectacular. The fictional planets were ornately detailed and beautifully crafted. There was so much care and effort put into this movie, and it definitely shows.
This movie certainly has it all. It is hilarious, intense, and shocking. Avengers: Infinity War is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I would not recommend it for anyone who has never seen a previous MCU movie because he or she would most likely be incredibly confused and lost. If fans have seen one or two of the movies, I think he or she would most likely be able to track what is going on.
I give this movie a five-star rating for sure and highly recommend it to anyone who has a general understanding of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
